Carson Elmer is a lifelong resident of Mendocino County. He grew up in Potter Valley and currently resides in Ukiah’s beautiful Westside neighborhood with his wife Elizabeth, their daughter Mae, and their dog Bee.
When he was just 10 years old, Carson was introduced to the art of beekeeping by a family friend. He has since worked with many prominent beekeepers around Northern California, and has owned and operated Carson and Bees for nearly two decades.
Carson and Bees is one of a very few options for Mendocino County honey and beeswax. Carson’s bees also pollinate California’s almonds and Mendocino’s pears and apples.
Carson’s wife, Elizabeth, can be found behind the scenes of Carson and Bees working on bee package sales in the spring, as well as doing communications and outreach. She loves to be an official honey taster too!
You can hear Elizabeth on local radio station KZYX (kzyx.org) twice a month as host of the Farm and Garden Show, the first and third Thursdays at 3 pm.
